Naresh Goel

Director of Quality and Technology, Climax Engineered Materials

Naresh has more than 30 years experience in advanced materials and processes, manufacturing and technology development.  He is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has been responsible for driving operational and process excellence for Freeport-McMoRan/Phelps Dodge for the past five years.  Naresh was a senior manager with Bristol Aerospace (a subsidiary of Magellan Aerospace and Rolls Royce Canada) for fourteen years prior to joining Freeport-McMoRan/Phelps Dodge.  He was responsible for advanced materials and processes, quality, technology development, and excellence in manufacturing.  He started his career as a senior research engineer at the Research and Development Center for Iron and Steel of the Steel Authority of India Limited, working on the development of specialty steels for automotive weight reduction.  He has extensive experience in a broad spectrum of materials including ceramics, specialty metals, composites, and advanced manufacturing processes including powder processing, thermo mechanical processing, advanced metal joining processes, chemical processing and composite manufacturing.  He holds a master’s degree in Physics from Banaras Hindu University and a Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Delhi.

David S. Florchak, CPA

Controller, Climax Engineered Materials

David has more than 14 years accounting experience in the mining industry.  He has spent the majority of his career at ASARCO Inc., where he held positions as an internal auditor, mine controller, Corporate Accounting Manager and Director of Field Accounting.  In addition, he spent more than two years with Coopers & Lybrand LLC as a tax accountant and external auditor.  David earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona and is also a Certified Public Accountant in Arizona.
